Social Connectedness: Compassionate Communities to Build Societal Wellbeing

Facilitated by Tanya Cruz Teller and Marlene Ogawa.

In this community of practice gathering we will focus on compassionate communities – our experiences of them, our future hopes for them – and how they can help increase our a sense of connection to others and even ourselves in this time of “the great social isolation.”  This work builds on our Spaciousness Theory of Change on Relational & Appreciative Leadership, the US Surgeon General’s report called Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation: An Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs),  linked to achieving the SDGs.

Join us to explore  generative questions that build compassion, strengthen our relational leadership and increase diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion and intercultural awareness. In a world where we see, experience and hear much about divisiveness, we invite people to an appreciative inquiry into social connection and the actions that build communities of wellbeing for all!
