Events April 21, 2022 AI Jam 2022 Highlights The Appreciative Inquiry Jam is an annual gathering where AI practitioners can come to revitalize their practice and meet and learn from their peers. We take the word Jam from the musical term, where musicians improvise in a group. Similarly, our hope is that AI practitioners come together to explore, create, respond in real time, and co-create an energizing experience together. The ultimate goals of the event are to create opportunities for meaningful connections between practitioners and to bring to light how and where AI is being used in impactful ways in the world today!2022 Event FormatDay 1 and Day 3 were a global synchronous agenda, consisting of three or four virtual zoom sessions per day with breaks in between. We heard from and dialogued with AI thought catalysts, pioneering practitioners, and each other. On these days we: Engaged in small group dialogue on topics relevant to our personal and professional practices Heard from industry thought catalysts on what our world is calling for from AI Learned from the real world experiences of our fellow practitioners Convened community conversations around critical themes for this moment in time Day 2 launched 24 hours of Jamming with a more regional focus. We enlisted the help of regional hosts from three regions: (1) Australia/Asia/Southeast Asia, (2) Europe/Africa, and (3) Ibero-America. Sessions were hosted by practitioners in Australia, Singapore, India, Nepal, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Peru and more. This allowed us to offer more sessions, in more time zones, and more languages. Day 2’s ultimate goal was to increase access, deepen connections between practitioners, and invigorate regional hubs of Appreciative Practice. We incorporated multimedia and a panel on Day 3 so we could all hear generative highlights from the regional sessions.
