France
On behalf of the WAIC Stewardship Council, we are excited to share that the next World AI Conference (WAIC) host country has been selected, and we invite you all to MARK YOUR CALENDARS now to join us for WAIC 2019 in Nice, France! Tentative dates have been set for March 19-22, 2019 and our colleagues from France will soon be following up with more details.
We had four very strong proposals from different regions of the world. As such, the WAIC Stewardship Council was humbled by the task to review them and select the next WAIC host and it was a task we did not take lightly (members in our global group are listed below, who each brought a wealth of wisdom and experience from prior WAIC events from around the world). To ensure that all proposals were equally considered, we reviewed each proposal along a variety of criteria and our deliberations were engaged with deep care and thought, as we could see the possibility of every proposal being a potential host!
We thank everyone who contributed to this generative process. And we now look forward to joining together to help ensure WAIC 2019 – France is a wild success! We hope to see many of you there.
