The scholars whose research stories make up this volume are all associated with
SAIDI- School of OD, did formal degrees there and used Appreciative Inquiry in
their doctoral studies and/or in post graduate work associations, as consultants for business enterprises, church, NGO, and government units, etc. They all found that one of the most practical advantages of AI as a methodology is that it works, it yields results. Taken together then, these essays, these ‘stories’, give the reader a good picture of the depth and breadth of the possibilities of Appreciative Inquiry as a methodology for action research – and for successful living.
