They convey the basics of group dynamics but fall short of providing students with knowledge for successful application to the “real world.” A group exercise based upon appreciate inquiry permits students, by focusing upon their peak experiences, to create a “shared history” allowing teams to develop concrete suggestions for improving their own unique workplace groups.
